from Fox News:
Some experts argue that any program that suggests putting humans into space for their entire life, or for multiple generations, is doomed from the start, since many people react negatively to the idea of leaving the planet and never returning.
Look, Fox News, it’s not the constant “Most Sexy” lists on your front page, it’s not the lunacy of your commentators, it’s not that you both give money to various GOP-backing groups, or that the stories you invent are nearly always based entirely on baseless and un-sourced suspicions and/or fabrications and always blown comically out of proportion, it’s not even your always-apparent bias, and the way the positions your editorializing takes do complete 180s based on party affiliation/race/occupations/personal views of your subjects… when it comes down to it, it’s none of these things that makes you a fake news organization.
ANY RESPECTABLE NEWS ORGANIZATION WOULD GIVE US SOLID NUMBERS ABOUT HOW MANY PEOPLE REACT NEGATIVELY TO THE IDEA OF LEAVING THE PLANET AND NEVER RETURNING.
“53 percent of Americans reported feeling ‘negative’ about leaving the planet and never returning, while 32 percent reported feeling ‘double negative’ about the prospect in a poll released Oct. 23 by the Washington Post, High Times and Phoenix News 9.”
I also think it’s a good idea to write names on the internet for people to find when they’re Googling themselves. For instance, Paul Longo, Thomas Pynchon, and Jesse Ball.
